This blog is meant for anybody who is an educator, student or part of the education system. Walter has had a passion for education for many years, as both a professor and teaching younger students. Here, you will find information and resources about our education system in the United States and specifically the urban education system.
Walter has been an educator in Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana for many years. He is a retired Professor of Finance at LSU for 23 years and also teaches primary education. Walter has a passion for improving the education system, loves to teach future businessmen of America, and is the founder of Louisiana Achievement Charter Academies which is a non-profit foundation that operates 3 charter schools.
Mr. Morales is highly involved with his non-profit educational foundation, Louisiana Achievement Charter Academies, which runs 3 charter schools. Mr. Morales has been active in charter school education since retiring from LSU as a Professor of Finance where he taught courses in Investments, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Corporate Finance and Portfolio Management.
Walter has a passion for working with urban schools and trying to improve the education system. He is heavily involved in the community with issues involving racial disparity, is a member of the 100 Black Men of Baton Rouge, and even serves on the Diocese of Baton Rouge Racial Harmony Commission.
