Walter is very passionate about education. He started a non-profit foundation, The Louisiana Achievement Charter Academies, which run 3 charter schools in the area. Previously, Walter was a Professor of Finance at LSU for over 23 years, where he taught several different courses from Investments to Portfolio Management.
For business, Walter founded Commonwealth Advisors, Inc. in 1991 and serves as both the firms President and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Morales sits on the Board of Directors for several different companies in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area, and has been involved in the successful restructuring of multiple organizations in the area as well.
Walter is greatly involved with the community of Baton Rouge, and is an integral part of many volunteer and non-profit organizations that focus on racial disparity.
